Krillion Unlimited - The Endless Dive

Think beyond the first answer that comes to mind. Each dive gives you seven prompts, with 25 seconds to answer each one. Familiar answers keep you near the surface. Unusual answers take you further into the deep.

The ocean gets darker as your score climbs. A little pink krill travels with you, while bubbles, sonar-like notes and short arcade melodies mark your discoveries. Use the sound button to switch audio on or off.

How to play Krillion Unlimited

  1. Select Begin descent to start a dive.
  2. Read the prompt and its scope note. Type one answer, then press Dive or Enter.
  3. See its rarity, points and the depth you gained. You can explore the accepted answers after each round.
  4. Select Descend to start the next prompt. The clock waits for you between rounds.
  5. After seven prompts, share your result or select Next dive to keep playing.

An unlisted answer does not finish the round: try another while the timer runs. Skip and timeout both earn zero points. The game accepts capitalization differences, accents, punctuation variants and explicitly listed alternative names.

Rarity and scoring

Rarity Points Depth gained
Plankton 10 100m
Too clever 15 150m
Schooler 30 300m
Rare 60 600m
Deep cut 85 850m
One in a krillion 100 1,000m

Each prompt has one designated Krillion answer. The maximum is 700 points and 7,000 metres in a dive. Rarity is an editorial rating in this edition’s answer sets, not a percentage of live players. “Too clever” is the conspicuous unusual choice people often think of first.

Questions

Is there a daily limit?

No. This edition is entirely Unlimited. A dive number always selects the same seven prompts from the versioned collection of 28 categories. Subsequent dives shuffle the categories; categories can return in later dives.

Does my progress save?

The active dive, entered answer, time remaining and sound setting save in this browser. Refreshing restores the current round. The last 100 completed dives form your dive log. If browser storage is blocked, you can still play during the current session.

Can I pause?

Opening the instructions or dive log pauses the timer. Switching to another browser tab also pauses it and stops audio. Close the window or return to the tab to resume. Leaving a question does not automatically submit an answer.

Why was my answer not accepted?

This edition uses a curated local answer library. Broad categories do not contain every possible valid answer. Check the scope note and try another answer before the time runs out. The answer set becomes available after the round so you can see exactly what was included.

Can I play on a phone or with a keyboard?

Yes. Use Tab to move through controls, type in the answer field and press Enter to submit. Escape closes a help or log window without consuming a round. The game works in the Playdle frame, in fullscreen and at its standalone game page.

What does sharing reveal?

Only the dive number, total depth, score and rarity symbols. The answers stay hidden. A shared link opens the same set of prompts. The Share button copies the result; if clipboard access is unavailable, it opens selectable text.

About this edition

Inspired by Krillion’s endless dive, this Playdle edition recreates the ocean colours and pixel interface with an independently implemented game engine, procedural scenery, a locally hosted VT323 font and synthesized sound effects. Its answer library and rarity assignments are separate from the original game. No account or connection to the original site is required to play a loaded dive.
