GeoPaint - Guess the Missing Flag Colour
GeoPaint tests how well you remember the colours of national flags. One colour has been replaced. Move three sliders to mix the shade you remember, then submit your flag to see how close you were.
Play a daily set of five flags from around the world, or choose Europe, the Americas, Africa or Asia for four flags from that region. Each flag is worth up to 100 points.
How to play GeoPaint
- Look at the country and its flag. The part you are painting already shows a starting colour. It changes as you move the sliders.
- Choose a hue. Find the colour family: red, orange, yellow, green, blue or purple.
- Adjust saturation and brightness. Saturation changes how vivid the colour is. Brightness changes how light or dark it is.
- Submit your colour. You have one submission per flag. Your version and the original appear side by side, with a score from 0 to 100.
- Complete the set. Move to the next flag, then share your total after the last round.
Questions
How is GeoPaint scored?
The game measures the visual difference between your colour and the target shade. A very close match earns up to 100 points; larger differences lower the score. The World daily set has a maximum of 500 points. Each regional set has a maximum of 400.
Scores use the colours in the game’s flag artwork. Screen settings and night modes can change how those colours appear on your display.
When do the daily flags change?
A new set arrives at 00:00 UTC. Everyone playing the same region receives the same flags and missing colours for that day. If a new day starts while you are playing, you can finish the open set and then start the new one.
Can I play more than once a day?
Yes. Select Practice for another set, or try a different region. Practice is unlimited and has its own saved progress. It does not change your daily statistics or streak.
Does GeoPaint save my progress?
Your current colours, submitted flags and completed results save in this browser. You can refresh or switch between the detail page and the standalone game without starting over. Clearing browser storage removes this progress.
How do streaks work?
Finish every flag in a daily set to record a completed day, at any score. Completing sets on consecutive UTC days builds your streak. Each region tracks its own streak, average and best score. Reopening a completed set does not count it twice.
Can I play with a keyboard?
Yes. Press Tab to focus a slider and use the arrow keys for fine adjustments. Home and End move to its minimum or maximum. Tab to Submit colour and press Enter to submit.
Which flags are included?
This edition uses a collection of 46 national flags, including flags from Europe, the Americas, Africa, Asia and Oceania. The World mode uses the complete collection.
Can I open just the game?
Open GeoPaint in its own window for the standalone game. It fills the available space and shares your progress with the game above.
About this edition
This is Playdle’s implementation of the flag colour matching game, inspired by GeoPaint on GeoRankle. It has its own daily sets, scoring curve and local statistics. Flag SVGs come from the MIT-licensed flag-icons collection.
