Guess the Song in 0.1 Seconds - Songless Unlimited
Guess the song in 0.1 seconds: hear the shortest snippet you dare, then name the track. Every run deals five songs, from a crowd-pleaser to a deep hit, and the next run is always one tap away.
How the song guessing game works
The rules, and the questions people ask.
How to guess the song
- Press play. Every song opens on 0.10 seconds of audio, which is usually one drum hit or one vowel.
- Stuck? Drag the scrubber, pick a preset or press +1s to hear the next second. The longest clip you play decides what the song is still worth.
- Guess the song: type the title or the artist and pick the track from the list.
- A wrong guess never ends a song. It costs 500 points, so keep going until you have it, or give up to reveal it for 0.
Questions
Can you really guess the song in 0.1s?
On a song you know well, yes. A tenth of a second is where every round starts, and it is worth the full 10,000 points. The clip starts at the first audible sound of the preview, so you never spend your tenth of a second on silence.
Is there a guess the song game with a 1-second clip?
Yes. Choose the 1.0s preset or drag the scrubber to one second and play it. A song you name after one second is worth 6,450 of its 10,000 points. The scrubber is logarithmic, so the first second takes up almost half of its length and small steps are easy to choose.
How is Songless Unlimited scored?
A song’s worth falls fastest at the start, because the first second holds the most clues:
| Longest clip played | Worth |
|---|---|
| 0.10s | 10,000 |
| 0.50s | 7,204 |
| 1.0s | 6,450 |
| 3.0s | 5,395 |
| 10s | 4,364 |
| 30s | 3,500 |
Only audio you actually play counts: dragging the scrubber previews the cost, and replaying a shorter clip is free. Each different wrong pick takes 500 points off the song, down to zero. Giving up scores 0. A run of five songs is worth up to 50,000.
Which songs are in Songless Unlimited?
2,210 well-known songs released from 1970 to 2025: 739 rock and alternative, 486 pop, 364 hip-hop, 166 dance and disco, 149 R&B and soul, 132 Latin, 96 country and 78 K-pop. Open Run options to choose any mix of genres, a range of release years, or to leave out explicit songs. The options show how many songs remain in the pool, and a run needs at least five.
Which artists are in Songless?
651 artists and groups. The most songs belong to Drake (30), Kendrick Lamar (24), Eminem (22) and Kanye West (21). A run never deals the same lead artist twice.
What do Easy, Medium, Hard, Expert and Brutal mean?
They are the five songs of a run, dealt in order. Easy songs are global standards, Medium and Hard are major hits, and Expert and Brutal songs are still hits, but are known to a smaller or older audience. The catalogue has 212 Easy, 383 Medium, 545 Hard, 526 Expert and 544 Brutal. The stages are editorial judgements of how familiar each song is, not live streaming counts.
What are the ranks in Songless Unlimited?
Your run total out of 50,000 sets one of six ranks, best first: Golden Ear (45,000+), Crate Digger (38,000+), Playlist Curator (30,000+), Chorus Chaser (22,000+), Background Listener (12,000+) and Elevator Music.
How do you get better at guessing the song in 0.1 seconds?
Listen for the production, not the tune. A tenth of a second is one hit or one syllable, and its sound dates a track quickly: a gated 80s snare, a dusty 90s loop, a bright 2010s synth, a modern trap hi-hat. Guess the era first, then the artist. Buying half a second early usually costs less than two wrong guesses.
Where do the song clips come from?
The clips are Apple’s official 30-second previews, streamed from Apple Music when you play. The game never stores or modifies the audio. After each song you can open it on Apple Music. The reveal shows the artwork, artist and year and plays the full preview.
Is Songless Unlimited free, and how often can I play?
Yes, it is free with no daily limit, no account and no download. Press Next run for five more songs. A new run avoids songs you heard in your recent runs.
Does my progress save?
The current run, your options, volume and your last 100 finished runs are saved in this browser. Refreshing returns you to the same song with the same clip length and wrong guesses. The statistics show your runs, best and average scores, solve rate and 0.1-second solves.
Can I play with a keyboard or on a phone?
Yes. The scrubber works with arrow keys, Home and End, and the search list with the arrow keys and Enter. On a phone, drag anywhere along the waveform. Escape closes the search list or a window without using a guess. You can also play on the standalone game page.
What does sharing reveal?
Only your score, rank, the stage of each song, the clip you needed and the number of wrong guesses. Song titles and artists stay hidden. The shared link deals the same five songs with the same options, so friends can play your run.
